Workers (RFID Cards & Offline Collection)

< 1 min read

Overview #

The Workers feature allows businesses to issue RFID cards to staff who manage offline charging sessions or cash collections. This provides flexibility for environments where digital payments are not always practical, while maintaining proper records inside Powerly.

Key Benefits #

  • Offline Support: Enable charging sessions even without app or internet.
  • Cash Collection: Workers can accept payments and reconcile later.
  • Tracking: Each worker’s activity is logged for accountability.
  • Flexibility: Useful for large fleets, public parking, or areas with poor connectivity.

How It Works #

  1. In the dashboard, navigate to Workers.
  2. Select Add New Worker.
  3. Assign card to a worker profile (Name, RFID Tag, Contact).
  4. Workers tap the card at a charger to start a session.
  5. Sessions appear in the system under that worker’s ID for later reconciliation.

Tips #

  • Distribute unique cards per worker to prevent overlap.
  • Regularly audit collected cash and match it to digital logs.
  • Use workers in locations with high public demand but low digital adoption.
